I have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder that has radio/navigation system screen that randomly shuts off. I have no radio functions nor can I see hearing and ac controls. Anyone else experienced this and if so where should I start looking for?

This isn't a DIY problem. You will have to, at least, hook up a professional scan tool to get an idea of what might be happening. Perhaps the dealer has some kind of software update to improve the car's internal communication system, or maybe the scanner will point toward a particular defect.

But a random glitch in a 13 year old vehicle with a complex integrated NAV system is going to be anybody's guess at this point. You need diagnostics to get some direction on how to approach this.
