My Honda CR-V with 2700 miles on it crapped out. It has a dinky battery. The guy from Sierra Honda said it was a dead battery. Well when the tow driver picked it up the lights were all on and the dash flashed a message brake failure continually.

Hard to say what's going on with so little info. So, are you back on the road now? I presume it will all be fixed on warranty. Sure, batteries can be defective at the time of manufacture, or there could have been a parasitic drain on the battery, or a fault in the charging system. A thorough scan and diagnosis would be necessary. Perhaps some module in the car is failing to "go to sleep" after the ignition is turned off. This does happen from time to time.
