If tires need to be replaced due to low tread, is that something that can be negotiated?
If I am getting another lease, is the tire replacement on my previous lease something that can be negotiated with the salesman on my new lease? I know the inspection is pass or fail. Has anyone ever done this? My lease is up in 3 months, just had service and they said its borderline to have all tires replaced. Obviously I will wait to see if it can pass inspection first. I am not buying cheap ones on eBay if they are to be replaced. If they have to be replaced I will do it at the dealership. The main question is can it be negotiated when signing my next lease? Will they credit you back the cost if it can be negotiated since the tires are needed to pass inspection and its through a 3rd party inspection company?

The tire replacement is between you and BMWFS. Since the dealer isn't involved, then it is irrelevant.Apple1122 said:I know its pass or fail. My question is in regards to the salesman on my next lease negotiating with me to cover the tire replacement cost if I buy through him.
Even if the dealer were involved, it would just be moving the furniture. An extra $800 out of their pocket means taking an extra $800 out of your pocket at some other point.

The 3rd party has a program that tells them what to charge, based on make/model and tire size. They do the inspection, print you a copy with the charges, and turn it in to BMWFS.
