END OF LEASE TIRE REPLACEMENT QUESTION

My lease is ending soon. I took my car in for service and on the recommendation box they wrote:
"all 4 tires edges are low and choppy around 4mm"....I have my lease end inspection in 2 weeks, so we will see what happens. They also wrote the cost of 4 new tires: "4 Goodyear Eagle LS2 ROF XL 245/40R19 98V $1,468.68" and under that "4 Wheel Graphing Alignment $389.95".
My question is in regards to the GRAPHING ALIGNMENT. If by chance I have to replace the tires, is the graphing alignment mandatory? Can I just replace the tires without the graphing alignment?

I'll guess that BMWFS charges less than that for end of lease replacement, and they definitely won't charge you for an alignment.

You should be able to find lease end documents that spell out the charges for replacement tires. It's graduated by wheel diameter (19" in this case).

Short answer: Pay at lease end, rather than putting on new tires.

Does BMWFS actually give you a sort of "price guide" for charges that are applicable? Where they would say if you don't replace the tires, here is what you will be charged? I wouldn't want to not replace them ,then be surprised by the charges.

Yes, you should be able to get that question answered. But, I don't have the answer. It's possible that a call to BMWFS would result in that answer.
