Why isn't my 4wd working?

I have a 2005 chevy trailblazer LT and only one of my 4wd options works And that would be 4 low. 4AWD and 4 hi say they are engaged but do not work. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar or same problem. Just don't understand why 4 low would work but nothing else

    Is your service 4WD light on? You may need to extract trouble codes from the transfer case module before anything else.

    If this kind of thing keeps happening I would recommend going to a garage and getting the front differential looked at. You may have to replace it. Are you hearing a grinding noise when putting it into 4WD?
