Firmware or software updates?

Hi! (first post!)

I've taken good care of my CX-5. Regular oil changes, following service schedule, Tom-Tom updates etc.

However, I've never taken it to an actual Mazda dealership for service.

Are there engine or electrical software or firmware updates that I am probably missing because of this? I know there are CPUs in the car that help control ABS, traction control, auto-braking etc... That's what I mean.

I called a Mazda Service Center and the receptionist did not understand what I was saying. She said "We could upgrade you to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay)

You might have to drop into the dealership and speak to a service adviser. I think there's an update for the infotainment system. This should be all done under warranty I believe.
