I HAVE A 2000 DURANGO THAT WILL TAKE OFF OK THROUGH 1ST & 2ND THEN WILL NOT SHIFT INTO DRIVE OR OD SHE JUST REVS UP THE RPMS IF I LET IT COAST TO ABOUT 35 TO 40 MILES IT WILL SHIFT AND DRIVE FINE BUT IF I HAVE TO SLOW DOWN BELOW 45 TO 50 MPH IT GOES BACK TO LIKE NEUTRAL AND STARTS TO REV UP AGAIN IF I PULL OVER AND STOP FOR A FEW MINUTES IT WILL GO AGAIN OR IF I GET A PUSH WHILE MOVING IT GOES BACK IN GEAR
SO COULD THIS BE A SHIFT SENSOR. TORQUE CONVERTER OR SOMETHING ELSE

First off check the fluid level, and if it's low or very dirty try an oil and filter change for the transmission.

If that doesn't work, then the problem is probably internal and would require some further testing by a transmission shop. If you do the fluid change be sure to examine the oil pan for excessive amounts of clutch material or metallic debris.
