Why does my truck stall when turning left?

I have a 2000 dodge dakota 3.9l v6 automatic.Any time i turn left the truck stalls and revs really high.it doesnt die it just revs high.only happens when i turn left. What could the issue or issues be and what steps should i take to getting the issue fixed?

    Wait a minute---how can it stall and rev high at the same time?

    Sorry ill explain a little better. When i turn left it wont accelerate revs high and acts like its in neutral until the the wheels go straight.

    Have you checked the transmission fluid level?
