Can someone provide me a game plan or target numbers I should ask a dealer for. I am in the market to lease a 2019 Crosstrek base manual, either 12k or 15k per year. Do I try and negotiate the cost of the car and the mf? I've heard I could ask to lease at the buy rate (assuming that its' cheaper). Also, in negotiating a lower cost would I expect my monthly lease payments to go down or the payments to remain the same and the equity in the car at the end of the lease to be more. If you can give me the mf/residual or answer my questions, I would appreciate it. I'm lost and not sure if I am way lost or just a little bit lost.
