Application of Corporate Incentives

Hi everyone — I have a question for the moderators about application of fleet/corporate discounts to leases. If I have access to fleet/corporate pricing on a car, is this something I bring up to the sales person BEFORE or AFTER we’ve settled on a sales price? This seems relevant to negotiations as many incentives offer a few thousand dollars off sticker, but most buyers don’t intend on paying anything near sticker price. For example, my employer has fleet pricing with Audi and Mercedes which offers a $2,000 incentive for purchases and leases. If I’m thinking about leasing a Q7, I’m certainly hoping to get more than $2,000 off the MSRP. So if I negotiate (let’s say) $6,000 off the MSRP for cap cost on the Q7’s lease, will the dealer just “eat up” the fleet incentive after I bring it up or will I get the car for $8,000 off the sticker price? Hopefully that makes sense — let me know if more clarification is necessary. Thanks!

I don't have a lot of knowledge about fleet incentives.

But, I think BMW's plan is an extra incentive, on top of the discount you negotiate. However, there are incentives that the corporate incentive is not compatible with. So, if you have loyalty, etc, it might not do you a lot of good.

Audi might be the same way, but I don't know.

Your fears of the dealer not giving you as good of a deal are well-placed. That can be managed, but you need the exact answers (that I don't have).

    Sorry
