Extended warranty ?

My regular or standard 3 year warranty just expired three weeks ago.
Yesterday, I had a malfunction of water pump and broken belt.
Fortunately the cost of repair is covered .
How much would an extended warranty be and is it possible after expiration of the regular 3 year warranty?
