Calling Los Angeles-based car shoppers: Have you recently traded in (or plan to trade in) a car with negative equity (i.e. the amount you owe on your auto loan is greater than the car's value)? A reporter would like to speak with you; please reach out to PR@Edmunds.com by 11/6 for details.

I am trying to figure out how much to list my car for. I inherited this car 10 years ago and have seldom driven it. It has cosmetic problems (I replaced the front bumper myself on which the paint is peeling, and the hood has a slight bump up in one spot, both from a fender bender). I would think this would put it on the lower end. It only has 85,000 miles, however. It runs great, and I just had the master cylinder and brakes replaced. This makes me think I should list it for more.

Edmunds and KBB says I am in the $1,500 - $2,200 range. I see similar cars with much higher mileage on Craigslist for $2,500 - $3,500.

Thanks!
