I received lease offer form SOCAL Lexus dealer, here are the #'s:

2019 Lexus RX350
MSRP: $45,534.00
Selling Price: $40,696.00
Cash Down: $3,500 (As mentioned on the phone - the other dealer has you at $2,000 + fees down which usually comes out to about $1,500 more equating to a total down payment of $3,500)
Rebate: $3,000
36 months/10,000 miles
$386.81 a month (including tax)
*Numbers are based on Tier 1+ Credit and 9% tax rate*

is this good deal in CA state (zip code 95051)?

Any insights/recommendations much appreciated!

The numbers look about right. If we had the adjusted CAP cost and an exact listing of fees, it would be easier to see.

Looks like a pretty good deal to me. Over 10% off MSRP, minus a rebate.

I wouldn't put the extra $2000 upfront. Just keep that in your pocket and take the $60/mo. higher payment.

1) Money paid upfront is at risk, if the lease ends early due to accident or theft. GAP insurance only covers the payoff the lease, not any amounts paid upfront.

2) Big downpayments obscure the true cost of renting a vehicle. The only reason to pay upfront tax and DMV is those payments are non-taxable upfront, but subject to sales tax, if you roll them into the lease.
