The windshield on my 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring cracked spontaneously while it was being backed out of a downtown parking space. It has fewer than 7,500 miles on it. I'm told there is a 4 to 8 month backorder for an OEM replacement - the only kind that Honda will accept if I'm to maintain their warranty.

Is it a warranty replacement, or an insurance replacement?

Also, I don't think Honda can require this:
