what is brake code brf

I'm trying to buy brake pads for my 2015 jeep compass at Advance Auto. I was asked brf or no brf? Not I or the counterman knew what this referred to.

    BRG are standard brakes

    BRF are heavy duty brakes. I think it's only on vehicles with a Tow package.

    This is wrong. I just verified with the dealer.

    BRF is standard single piston caliper

    BRG is Heavy Duty dual piston caliper
