Looking at buying a new truck (2017 ford f150) and this is a pic of the tires. Are these in good enough shape to buy? Do they look like they'll need replacing soon?
First, DO NOT ask to have the tires replaced. Do it yourself. That way you'll get what YOU want, not what the sellers wants (as in "Cheap!")
Second, those tires have plenty of tread left (8/32nds), but are a little chewed up.
Third, negotiate the best price you can. Use the condition of the tires as leverage to get a better price, not to get the current owner to replace them.

Really appreciate the feedback. This is a carmax purchase so don't think they allow negotiating?? Do you think they are chewed up to a point that they will more likely give me issues or need replacing soon?
