Hi all,

I was a first time buyer and Unfortunately I didn't do my research on negotiation before signing. I am just checking if I got a good deal on my recent lease. If not, by how much did I get ripped off.

I am paying $3700 (due at signing) + $256*23 (23 months) for the following:

2019 Rav4 LE AWD
24 months | 12000 miles/yr
Includes:
blind spot monitoring: $590
One Heated driver seat - $245
remote start - $350- $400 (this is free)
all weather floor liners + cargo liner - $269
Delivery and handling: $1120
Total MSRP: 29278 (includes all the above)

College grad rebate is also applied.

My zip code: 52402

You could have done better - that $3700 up front works out to about $150/mo extra, or $400/mo

For a $30K car, that's not so good.

However, think of it as a learning experience, and check in with us in 23 months' time, so we can help you get the best deal on your next lease.

But, you're driving a pretty nice car - I like the looks of the new RAV4. Congrats, and enjoy! The sting of the financial details will go away, but driving a new car should put a smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel.

Thanks but still as a learning experience, I would like to know what is the MF and RV for the area I live in. Also how do you guys know these values? Where can I find these values for myself instead of having to ask this question?

Thanks but how to negotiate tho? Just quote these numbers to the dealer as “provided by Edmunds” and then ask them to use these numbers in their calculation? And they are going to do it? 🤔

You want to negotiate your best selling price, then make sure the MF isn't marked up (it rarely is, at Toyota dealers).
