Hello,

My lease is coming to an end in February. My 2017 Nissan Sentra only has 13k miles. I leased for 36/12k.

Do dealerships want to buy out a low mileage lease? Is this a negotiating tool in any way even though I don't own the vehicle?

There may be some equity in your car. What is the buyout amount?

You can take it to a local CarMax to see what they'll offer you on it. If you have equity, you can trade it in to realize that value.

    Payoff $11,402
    RV $11,021

Quick searches showed trade in value only $9,800

My last lease had very low miles and during negotiations the dealer kept going out to look at my car. At the time I wasn't quite sure why. I'm assuming now they bought the car and resold it for a profit?

What do you mean by trade it in? Wouldn't I have to buy it to trade it?

I'm a bit naive when it comes to this. I've been going to the same dealership for the past 10 years or so. I've leased 3 Sentras in a row from them. It's probably stupid but I tell them I want a Sentra.$0 down. $200/mo. They get it done and I feel it's fair.

But I want to get into a Rogue Sport now and I'm not sure what a good deal would be.
I've recently asked them to come up with a payment for me. As close to what I pay now. I can't see a Rogue Sport being that much more.
I haven't heard back from them yet.

I've seen deals for the Rogue Sport S. $219/mo. 36/12k. but with $650 acquisition fee and 1st months payment up front.

If you are upside down, no point trying to trade it in.

Keep us posted on the Rogue Sport lease.
