Short answer - not very easy.

You'll likely be upside down in your current lease - either you come up with the difference, out of pocket, or roll the negative equity into the new lease, which means you are now paying for a car that you aren't driving.

Best advise? Wait until the current lease is up, then go shopping. It's not like the Explorer is an endangered species.
