2020 Nissan Pathfinder Lease Deal
I just want to thank Edmunds and all the people who have provided information and strategies, it 100% got me a great deal. thank you all I ended up going with a 2020 pathfinder SV Rock creek, FWD and i want to share my story. First the dealership was great but up front they had horrible deals. I think its a strategy to make people think they got a great deal when they talk them down but with alot of information in my corner i think i got an excellent deal.
So here is my story. I show up to the dealership 20 min before they open im waitin at the locked gate. they come unlock the gate, i pull in exit my vehicle walk half the lot and nobody approaches me. On my quest to find the Pathfinder (seemed to by mythical on this lot) a salesman asked if i needed help. I ask where are your pathfinders. they point me to the opposite side of the lot. Well there are no pathfinders over there either. turns out they have 2 inside and 2 right up in the path to their front door. we take it for a short test drive and i tell him if the price it right i will take it.
Now this is where it gets interesting. I notice this is a dealership that has sticker then the dreaded andendum sticker. so this particular pathfinder had a sticker price of 37,660, with a rediculous addendum sticker of almost 45000. So i tell him im considering leasing maybe. they come back with $2000 down and $1015 a month. I chuckle a little not believing they are serious. So i take the paper with the quote, write down factory sticker price. show them their internet price, show the salesman the residual, the moneyfactor (all provided here) do the math, the salesman seems stunned i was very kind and simply said i have been relentless on my research. a few interactions sales manager, dealer manager, meet and greet, i simply show them the numbers, show them an edmunds deal that was agreed to with a mazda dealer for a cx9. I walk away with state fees 488, and first month lease payment of $362. I walk away with a 36 month lease 12k miles a year for 362 a month THANK you to this forum.
ps i forgot to mention i had a trad in that i was upside down $2800. Hats off to this website and hats off to the dealership for honoring their promise to beat the deal on the BASE Cx9!!!
