Is there any downside to leasing a car for 4 years? This can lead to a lower monthly payment.

More likely that you'll have to replace tires, and have major maintenance costs.

Also, some makes bumper to bumper warranties end at 36 months, though most have powertrain warranties through 5 years.

Also, some makes don't support longer lease terms, so it may not save any money (Nissan for example)
