Regarding Extended warranty

I purchased a used Chevy Malibu on June 26th. The next day it wouldn't start. Thank God I purchased the extended warranty because they put over $9,000 and work into it and we only owe like $8000 and something. They have to put a rebuilt engine in it since. My question is since I purchase the extended warranty which included an additional 24,000 mile or two years on top of the original mileage which was like 64,000+ and now I have a rebuilt engine and it's got 42,000+ on it. How does that work with the extended warranty since the extended warranty covered 24000/or 2 years additional miles from the original 64000? TIA

Just a guess, but your warranty will be good for 24mo, 24K miles from when you bought the vehicle. Period.
