228i xDrive Gran Coupe Work Up
Did the work up myself and got a much higher monthly payment ($641.72) than what was offered after I called BMW on Long Island ($456). Zip is 11710. Could someone let me know where I went wrong? I've attached the picture. The table is my work up and the dealer offer is at the bottom of the page in bold with months and mileage info.

If you are at $409/mo for 36/15, with the same amount upfront, on that same vehicle. That is a good deal.AshlynR said:Yes, the dealer didn't disclose the discounted price- just gave me the monthly, so I went off the MSRP.
Got it- thank you for all your help! They actually have gotten the payment down to $409 so I am excited- I guesss I am getting a good deal.Edmunds Price Checker

The selling price you've entered into your grid is full MSRP.
(the dealer didn't disclose the selling price or adjusted CAP cost in this example)
Anything you are paying upfront ($3233) can be left out of the payment calculation, since it is all accounted for upfont and not added into the CAP cost. Including the sales tax. Leave that out as well, since you are paying it upfront.
Change your residual percentage to 55% for 36/15
If you do all that, you'll have an Adjusted CAP cost (line 8) of $41,745
Payment = $522.98.
Their payment of $456/mo? That would assume an additional dealer discount of about $2350.
