Nissan Destination Fee MSRP
Hello - We were negotiating for a Nissan 2021 Rouge. The salesman listed MSRP for an SL (no premium package) at around $35,500. An additional line item was the destination fee of $1095, listed as "other charges".
Isn't the destination fee baked into the MSRP price for Nissan?
We put a deposit down to have the car we want delivered, but haven't signed any paperwork yet. Want to make sure we don't get ripped off before we move forward.
Thanks!

Have you negotiated a sale price for the vehicle, yet?

$35,500 MSRP (includes the splash guards, bumper protector packages)
$1500 anti-scratch coating
$1095 destination fee
$600+ doc/fees
tax
We worked to:
$35,000 MSRP (includes the splash guards, bumper protector packages)
$0 anti-scratch coating
$1095 destination fee
$600+ doc/fees
tax
When I got home, I looked up the 2021 Rogue SL on Nissan's website. They have base SL AWD model listed at $34,135 INCLUDING destination fee. Throw in the splash guard and bumper, we should be at $35,000 if destination is included. This is why I'm doubting my deal at the moment.
MSRP is what is on the sticker. MSRP is MSRP. That is the constant. You must know this number for the unit you are negotiating.
What you are paying is the negotiated sale price.
If you negotiate a price, and then they add a destination fee to that, then that is just disingenuous and not what you negotiated.
$1500 for anti scratch coating? shewwwwww
