How much can i expect my lease payment to reduce by for every $1000 i put down? Is it $10 $15 $20 etc? I got different answers from different salesman

On the same vehicle, with a 36 month lease, each extra $1000 put upfront by you will shave about $30/mo. off of the payment.

Wow thank you that's what I thought because I was doing the math but was so confused because I was told different numbers by different salesmen for the same vehicle
