V6 or 4 cylinder?

I wanted to get some thoughts. Assuming $ is not an issue, and I will not be towing, what would you recommend? I typically have liked more horses, e.g., V8 for my 2005 Toyota 4Runner, 3.0L for my 2015 Audi Q5 and V6 for my 2017 Highlander.
