Need advice. Dealer trying to sell me warranty to get better rate

Dealer has provided me one rate with no warranty and another with extended warranty covering 4 years or 100K more miles on vehicle. It seems like the better rate is dependent on me accepting the warranty. Why can’t I get the better rate with or without the warranty. Is this legit?

They can do whatever they want. Look really hard at the difference in price, and see if that warranty is worth it. Doesn't the car come with a warranty?
