Volvo experience

So I went to a Volvo dealer in Huntington , ny with the intentions of leasing an xc90 t5 momentum, base.
After exchanging pleasant conversion and another test drive we sat down to go over the numbers on a 36 mos /12000 mile lease. After I was handed a pre printed paper with money down and subsequent payment I asked what Price they were basing the numbers off. They gave me the msrp of 5 different cars with varying options, all similar prices. The dealer then laughed and said what difference does that make , these are the monthly payments. After some heated discussion the manager came over and gave me the best cap cost which was way above any price any price I had researched.
I went to an Audi dealer and experienced similar complacency when it came to the price of the vehicle
In 30 years of leasing I have never experienced such lack of knowledge , disrespect and just such poor customer service. Has anyone experienced this recently ? Thank you!

Pretty much everybody is experiencing this. Short inventories give the dealer all the advantage in the negotiations - little or no discounts, marked up MF, generally poor shopping conditions.

If you can postpone your shopping, that would be my recommendation.
