Serious Engine Trouble---Aston Martin Vantage

I have reported serious engine trouble in a new 2014 Aston Martin V8 Vantage. After only 7,300 miles, I am advised by the Denver Aston Martin dealership that the car needs a "new engine"... I boughht the car new in January 2015 from the Aston Martin dealership in Washington, DC. The car has never been over 80 mph, never been in a rainstorm, always garaged and apparently, Aston Martin is unwilling to assist in the customer support of its vehicles. I am sorry but I believe this to be shameful on the part of Aston Martin.

Have you asked to escalate this to AM Corporate?

What does the dealer say about the cause of the engine issues?

I have requested that this issue be forwarded to Aston Martin to a tech rep. No response yet. The initial response from the dealer was: "Talked to the tech. Usually driving the car really hard or improperly tracking it causes this issue, but your car needs an engine. The rod is in bad shape, which is the price quoted. Po We checked with warranty and asked for goodwill but were denied." I responded and requested it be forwarded to the factory and have not heard back yet. This is very disappointing as I would expect the dealer to stand behind their product... The car has never been over 80 mph, never been in a rainstorm, always garaged. I believe this to be shameful on the part of Aston Martin and all owners ought to be advised of how this company chooses to deal with its customers...

"The rod is in bad shape", sorry not sure what that means. Is the engine making noise, (a worn bearing) and or misfiring (bent connecting rod)?

At 7300 miles and a little over 6 years in service how many times has the oil been changed?

The dealer has not determined a cause yet, only that the car needs a new engine...
