rado to replace the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Has 200 miles on it and rides perfect. Only thing it has the bench seats which I think might be better for Ryan....charcoal interior to better hide the stains.
First time hunting, bagged a 200# wild pig. Had to gut, quarter, and carry two miles back to the truck with two other guys. That was the last time hunting for me. Rather buy the pork from the market....tastes better and don't have to get covered in blood carrying it out. I would have paid for helicopter service at that point...LOL!!
Didn't look like those bambinos in Tim's truck were dressed...just threw 'em in there? hmmm....
Like your truck Dean. Billet grill? (Or a fake) Anyway, looks great. Really like the wood dash trim too. But no oiled K&N for me, been there done that. Paper please.
Is that some sort of pineapple republic? Book 'em Deano. Five-0.
Reminds me....today's Wall St. Journal had article about those propane deep fryers for whole turkeys like Tim posted a pic of a while back. Article stated you heat the oil for one beer, then fry the turkey for two beers. Said it cooks so violently, women won't do it. Just stand back and laugh while men get splattered with hot oil. Some burns so bad, it's to the bone. One guy tried to buy one, but seller wouldn't sell when buyer said he wanted to use it indoors. Anyway, sounded like a great idea for a Truck Bash. Guess we've been down this road before.
I understand about the K&N, but after spending $280 on the airaid figured I should leave it on for awhile. Filters getting dirty though and not sure on the cleaning and oiling so may just use as a disposable and buy another. The black billet is real or costs as much as a real one...the background is barbed wire fence surrounding an old sugar refinery now turned office/factory building by a surfer now turned multimillionaire tiedyed tshirt tycoon named Rick Ralston.
I really like the wood grain.... I can't believe I just said that! Wood grain usually doesn't do it for me, but I think that really looks nice. If you can could you send me, or post more pics of the wood? Christmas is coming!
I'll try and take more pics of the woodgrain. Got kind of tired looking at all that plastic all of the time so figured the wood grain would give it some personality...LOL!!
I puchased mine from California Customs-website-www.californiacustomusa.com. It was about $30. If you pick up a "Truckin'" or "Sportruck" magazine, there are several places that sell them-Stylin' Concepts is another. Have any shops in town that are into truck accessories? They should have it.
Getting chilly here now, rear doors are becoming harder to close when cold. It can take a couple tries to get a good latch. If the rear door isn't latched then the wind really whistles around the door.
mansfield is your tipical smaller midwestern town. It has your typical mall, restraunts, circuit city, etc. It is not as big as cleveland or columbus, actually quite a bit smaller. Ohio State Univ has a satellite campus there, one of many across the state, with the main one in columbus. Other than that i have not done much down there to be of much more help. Have a good turkey day over there. when u leaving? pat
that was low guys. We went to a party saturday night and i wasnt feeling good (sick actually) i gave her the keys and told her to drive home. She wouldnt she said it was to big. Then going home she said were u serious i said yea she missed a great opportunity.
Pat i am leaving tomorrow morning (4am) woohoo. Ill have access to a computer so im sure thursday night ill be online ill let you know how the trip was.
That's an interesting comment you made about the doors not latching tightly. I assume you're talking about the rear doors, right? On my Y2K 2500 xcab if you close the rear doors firmly, yet maintain pressure on the door as you close it, it will latch-up tightly. If you just slam it, it looks closed but usually won't latch tightly and will allow wind noise in the cab. BTW, I noticed this at all temperatures.
Anyone else had or noticed this situation with your xcabs?
Willimjo....don't tell him that. He was already hacking pneumonia for weeks.
Ryan, She said WHAT? "Were you serious about letting me drive your truck?" Oh my God....let me tell you youngster...the level of expectations get raised. And they ain't very high yet. Females of the gender are something I know about...
I made it to ohio but i am surrounded by ford owners in my aunts house ahhhhhhhhhh. Get here pull up and whats in the driveway a F250 crew cab long bed and a little ranger. This makes for a nice thanksgiving.
Friends don't let their Chevy trucks sleep with Ford trucks. LOL I understand your grief. My brother, brother in law, wifes aunt, and father in law all drive either Ford or Dodge my truck was the only Chevy there. Look at it like this the Chevy sure trucks look a lot better. So we're the lucky ones.
I just went to meier and a guy came running towards me. I almost flipped out. He stopped all outta breath and was like excuse me sir where did you get your nerf bars my wife is geting me some for xmas. He wass curious on the price. First time i had someone run over
of days now. Rides smooth but it has vibrations...wouldn't you think that the General would have figured it out by now...300 miles and going. Seems like they have the front end vibration fixed, but now the whole friggin truck vibrates....well, at least they are consistent...
Well you are right consistancy...Isn't that why we buy these trucks, cause we know what to expect?
Thought that agmlemon posted pictures of the new frame on his website
Have a beer and it may not be so bad...we're over here freezing our a$$es off and ya gotta rub it in...on second thought have a couple, maybe it will be like riding the waves at the North Shore!LOL BTW the pics of your truck look great...could you please provide some details on the grille...manufacturer, price, where you got it...maybe a website. Thanks, Stay cool, matthew
Stull. Bought it through coolwheels.com but price was the same at this site:
http://www.autostyles.com/billetgrilles.htm. Thing I liked about it is that it requires cutting the old grille out as some billet grilles will attach to the stock and looks kinda crappy with all that junk behind it.
most of the ones I have seen, I would agree are not really as attractive as the creator thought them to be. However I was struck by the ones on Oby's truck as they are a horizontal inset that says "subtle change", like "something is different and it looks better but I can't tell what it exactly is"
But then again each to their own, that's why they call it "custom" matthew

I just thought of something... If I put woodgrain in a carmine truck does that make me an instant grandfather!
Maybe I'll sell the truck and get a Cady! LOL

Reckon there is a dealer fix for this?

Rear doors need a firm slam, but not necessary to maintain pressure.
