I recently drove the 2023 Integra A-Spec. The car was visually appealing and very sporty looking. The interior was Acura’s red leather (very striking). We were so excited to test the car (we didn’t know about the engine). Quick take= DISAPPOINTING!

Wow, the engine is woefully inadequate. It seems utterly silly to put such a meager engine into an A-Spec vehicle. Isn’t that what the lame ILX is for? The car sounded like it was uncomfortably straining to get up to speed.

I understand the concept of Acura’s decision to keep cost down…but use that meager engine in a BASE MODEL…..not in an A-Spec. C’mon ! I expect that not many people will buy a car with such a lame engine at around $41,000… ($37,000 + the $4,000 the dealerships are tacking onto the MSRP. What a great time we’re having in the USA ….. not
