trannny shop, they wants $35 for diagnostic and
$125 for calibration...too much, I just
use old formula: OEM OD DIVIDED BY NEW OD x
indicated speedometer reading = correct mph
It is possible to get tires to have same OD as
225-70r14's, most better tire shops have
tire tables...
good luck
Later.
Toyota stake bed truck happens to hate new cars..
probably the rogue in him....hard to tell what a
person makes based on cars anymore....his
wife drives an Expedition, makes more than him....
So what if the owner doesn't haul anything! You don't see people restoring classic pickups with wood bed floors hauling anything, but that seems to be OK with everyone.
The same people asking "how can anyone even think of paying that much" are then turning around and buying $30,000 Silverado LT or top of the line Ford or Dodge trucks with heated leather seats rather than $20,000 lower models with less options.
If a person has the money to spend and wants to drive a unique vehicle that everyone else does not have, then this would be an option. If they are not going to haul anything anyway, they could get this or an SUV and it would make no difference since they haul the same number of passengers. Why do you think there are so many different styles of vehicles and after market ad-dons? People have different opinions of what looks nice or is interesting or stylish and what they will pay for it. How boring it would be if every vehicle on the road was the same style and color and equipped with just the necessities and not the extras.
I will probably never be able to afford such an expensive vehicle, but for those that can and like it, go for it. I never thought I'd pay over $20,000 for a pickup, but I did when my income went up. Hell, it wasn't that long ago that my income wasn't even $20,000 a year. Now I'm looking at spending $30,000 on my next truck this spring. It seems that those that are only able to spend a certain amount on a vehicle are the ones that criticize the loudest. I can't imagine spending $100,000 on a Ferrari (or on a Winnebago for that matter) but there are those that can afford to and do. I wish I could. I'm not going to rip down the person that only drives there Ferrari at 70 rather than 140 like it's "supposed to". Or only uses the Winnebago once a year for a weekend rather than every weekend or for long trips like your "supposed to". Maybe the black wood is not supposed to haul anything. The bed is a styling feature just like those old restored classic pickup trucks and at least most of the blackwoods will get driven and not just stored and trailered around to an occasional truck show. Vehicles are to be driven and enjoyed.
