I have 2009 nissan altima
Car is paid for. Hood and roof need some paint. Has 125,000 miles on it and runs great. I am 60 yrs old. Should I buy a new car and have payments for the next 6 years or invest a few thousand for paint and such. I want to retire in a few years but don't really want to be bogged down in a 400+ a month payments. What do you suggest

If it's running great, invest a bit of money to make it look good, and skip the new car for now.

Bad time to be in the market for a new car.
