2023 X7
Does anyone have a view on leasing vs. select financing an X7 in the current environment? Seems like select financing gives the optionality to refinance your car in a 1-2 years if rates drop, whereas with lease you're locked in at current rates for 3 years.
Also for select financing I was told that the balloon payment at yr 5 on an M60 is about the same as a 4.0 (MSRP difference is about $15k based on my builds), implying that BMW thinks the M60 will depreciate faster or if not you could end up with comparably more equity.
Any thoughts?

I can tell you that you can likely finance the car for a payment similar to that of a lease. I helped my doctor pick up an E350 for his wife recently, and the 5 year note was almost similar to that of a 3 year lease.

Any extra equity you earn on the M60, you will have paid for with a higher payment. With a higher price and lower residual, your payments might be 50% higher than on the 40i model
