My friend is currently enamored about his 2004 Porsche Cayenne SUV. It's quite annoying lol. He comes up with theories without any hard facts. His current one and it's a doozy: His 2004 Porsche Cayenne is blueprint to all current SUV's on the road as of today. As we were driving to the movie theatre to meet some friends of ours he pointed out all the SUV's we saw on the road. He was telling me that ALL yes ALL current SUV's are copycats to the original design that Porsche came up with for their SUV's
He was sort of right. All the SUV's except for the bigger SUV's such as the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban looked all very similar to each other including his Porsche Cayenne SUV.

Told him I could prove him wrong and we betted $100 dollars on it. Can you help me out please? His claims are really out from left field lol.

Thanks.

    Nope.

The Cayenne was introduced to the US market in 2003.

The Ford Explorer has been around since 1991.

Design trends come and go over the years, and I don't think anyone can say that the "melted bar of soap" look of the Cayenne was particularly unique at the time.

Thank you!!! "melted bar of soap" LOL. That was funny and never heard that! It's so true!

I'm glad you told me the year that Porsche came out with their version of the SUV. Also with Ford Explorer.

Going to collect my $100 soon. Thanks again!
