Lo Jack for Boxster?

I'm working on a CPO 2019 Boxster 718 from a Porsche dealer and they've added $1500 for Lo Jack to the pricing sheet.

Is this standard? Is it necessary?
I'd appreciate thoughts on this please.

    Have you ever had LoJack on any vehicle? Have you ever had a car stolen? The answer for 90% of people is NO. That's what car insurance is for.
