Are you in the market for a new or used vehicle and having difficulty finding something in your budget? Or are you finding yourself making trade-offs to find something you can afford (i.e. less cargo space, lower trim level). Can NICB.org be wrong about VIN check?
I did a VIN check of a vehicle being sold by a private seller. It came back with the following: "VIN check on https://www.nicb.org/vincheck came back with "VINCheck® Total Loss Record, VIN: [I removed this] has been identified as a vehicle listed in the VINCheck® Salvage Records. Date of loss2019-02-08Cause of lossCollision"
Private seller says, "It must be a mistake."
Could it be a mistake? Is he blatantly lying? Could he be confused? What is your opinion?
