Hello, I’m looking to lease a Subaru forester premium but not sure which price (MSRP or selling price or out the door price?) to try and negotiate and how to start the conversation. I read in a few places that negotiating the monthly costs isn’t worth it and it’s better to negotiate the price first since that will help lower the cost. I’m trying to get a deal that will help me pay somewhere between ideally 300-350 a month and 0 down (if that’s even possible today). What should I start to negotiate first and are my expectations above realistic or am I way off course with prices up all over?

(I’m not sure what a good deal for the forester looks like today either)

And should we ever consider putting anything in terms of down payment? I remember a few months back reading that it’s not advised. Should I pay taxes and fees upfront or roll into the cost? Is there anything else I should consider?

(Sorry if this is a repeat thread to something that exists - Beginner seeking advice. If this belongs in another area, I’ll move it thanks for the help all)
