When I get a chance to completely go over the material, I will prepare some html code and post it on my web site. (don't look for it before the end of the weekend though)
I just thought it was cute that GM sent this out with postage due. Not a good way to make a good impression on the media.
Our dealer didn't have an allocation yet, and now we are starting to question whether its worth $8,100 to get the 6.0. We are thinking of changing to the Yukon SLT with the 5.3, sunroof and locking dif, and adding boards, dash and wheel well trim ourselves. We're not really sold on OnStar with changing technology and ongoing membership fees. I even prefer the grill and body trim on the Yukon-will miss that 6.0, though!
more info.
Wonderland I think you make a good point.
I cancel an order on a X5 BMW because of the size.
My BMW dealer sent me weekly status updates.
At a GMC dealership I can't even place an order.

I must commend Caddy for putting out a 2wd version though. I was hoping the new Denali would offer the same thing but I guess GM is going to wait and see how 2wd 'Lade sales go before they follow suit.

My wife and I just need to decide on one of the 5 colors. I want red, she wants blue... too bad it is not offered!
I negotiated what I think is a supurb deal on this vehicle from 2 dealerships in Austin TX. I chose the dealership that was better and more convienent for me. The salesman at the other dealership was very nice and I told him I would try to find someone who is interested in purchasing the vehicle at $500 over invoice or $42,750. There are no advertising fees added, just TT&L. If anyone is interested, please email me at AndrewLobsenz@TX.SLR.COM. I think the dealer would be willing to alter the equipment included or the model and still sell it for $500 over invoice.
The average mark up I found was about $1500 over invoice. I found one dealer that wanted list price and 2 that wanted close to list price.
Overall, I exceeded my expectations as far as my ability to negotiate this vehicle. I was not expecting 2 local dealers to be $500 or less over invoice. Several dealers (not the local 2 I primarily dealt with) added an advertising fee of up to $500 to the vehicle. I found 5 dealerships at under $1000 over invoice (advertising fee included, if applicable). I found comparable deals on both the Denali and the Denali XL. I looked at Austin Texas area, Cincinnatti Ohio area, and North Carolina dealerships.
I hope this helps all of you who are still looking.

My salesman is Robert Fink. Avoid Bill(Top) Spencer. He knew absolutely nothing about the Yukons/Suburbans so I requested another salesman.

Then Public Access
Then search for 2001 Denali
There you will seem about 40 something.
Edmunds doesn't let us post other peoples pictures here as its violating our "user agreement" or such.
Also GMC has them on their site now too, with the 360 degree views. www.gmc.com
You can find the new photos at http://suv.s5.com on the Photographs page.
I have come to the conclusion that it is too much trouble to maintain the web site at two locations. I have decided that all future updates will be done only to the suv.s5.com site. If you have any browser bookmarks or favorites set for the site at the Mindspring location, please update them to reflect the new location of the web site at http://suv.s5.com
Thanks!
Happy Motoring. ;-)

According to this sales manager, the Denali won't be on the showroom floor until late Jan early Feb. That news is not to promising to those of us who have either ordered or waiting to see the all new Denali. OUT..

I talked with the dealer who said that they were supposed to start building them this month.
I also talked with a different dealer in another state who admittedly had real low allocations. He said that he couldn't even order them - hadn't received any allocations and had heard that production had been held up.
Who to believe?
I'm venturing a guess that the production line is on a week to week hold.
BTW - I've learned that the success/delivery time of your order is different depending on the dealer. (I've seen that in action - bought one of the first yukon XLs from a high volume dealer in MN. They told me that a group of 20 or so high volume dealers across the us got a "special" allocation of trucks before anyone else. They had a couple of dozen.
Thanks !
My '00 Denali had vibrations from the get go at 25 mph. After countless balancing, we replaced the Firestone Firehawks with Michelin LTX M/S and the vibrations simply disappeared. Who would have guessed that it was the firestones causing the vibrations...

The last TPW I had for my order was this week but I haven't been able to get the dealer to give me a recent update.
The November issue of Car and Driver has a preview article, two pages, on the new Denalis.
