Looking for a good extended Warranty program for a 2014 Volvo XC90 with 125,000 miles.

Hi, I've read so many horror stories about Extended Warranty companies. I am optimistic that there must be one out there that is ethical. My 2014 Volvo XC90 has 125,000 miles. I would appreciate any advice and sharing experiences you've had. Thank You.

I’m not a believer in the value of extended warranties so that said, I’ve read that the only ones that are worth anything are those backed by the manufacturer. I’d check with Volvo. At that mileage any warranty will probably be rather costly so why not just put the monthly premium into a bank account dedicated to repairs?

Congrats on making it this far. 10 years and 125,000 miles! I agree with @oldfarmer50 . "...put the monthly premium into a bank account dedicated to repairs."

I'll guess that any warranty on a 10yr/125K mile vehicle will be very expensive, and hard to collect on.
Add Volvo to that mix, and you should probably just forget about it.

As said, only manufacturer warranty will do. Everything else is a waste of money.

At the age and miles, I doubt you can get one, but you can plug your info in here and find out:

One more time; DON’T DO IT.

The only time an extended warranty MIGHT be worth it is when you buy the car new, not when it has 125K miles. Not only would the extended warranty be out of sight expensive, it would have more exclusions than sheets on a roll of TP.

Just put some money in an account dedicated to car repairs.

FWIW, I was thinking about commenting to your post yesterday but I didn’t want to be a “bubble burster” but since my poster buddies have already done that, I don’t feel bad about piling on.

    I sure hope you’re listening.
