Can I lease a vehicle on behalf of a family member

Question: Can I lease a vehicle on behalf of a family member?
More specifically, can I do all the leg work to get my father a new Lease, make the payments but have him insure the vehicle and register it under his name in his home state?
Is this possible?

Pretty sure the registration will have to match the lease paperwork.

That makes sense.. I guess a solution would be for both of our names to be on the Lease Agreement then my father could register it in his home state and insure it as well?

That makes sense.. I guess a solution would be for both of our names to be on the Lease Agreement then my father could register it in his home state and insure it as well?

If his credit is good, let him lease it, once you've done the legwork. You can always make the payments via online checking, no matter which name is on the lease.
