I get the same payment, so the math checks out.

If you're happy with the discount from MSRP, I don't see anything wrong with the quote.

Thank you, Michaell, truly! I think I will take it and I'm really grateful for you helping with this process. I've been negotiating back and forth with so many dealerships, and this one really is the "best" deal I've gotten so far. I've researched my area and I didn't see not one person who's paying under $400 for this car. I keep seeing in the ballpark of $450.

You all are amazing and I'm so happy people recommended this site to me!

If anything changes and I need additional input or a second pair of eyes, may I reach back out?

Kyfdx or Michaell, would either of you be able to take a look at something for me if I send a pic? So, I signed my lease yesterday & there was something I had to sign called a bill of sale. I don't really understand it. My old lease is on there & listed as a trade-in...is that how it's supposed to be? If I'm done with that lease is it normal for it to still be considered a trade-in? Much appreciated!

The trade value and payoff are the same, so I can't tell you if it was in fact treated like a trade in, or if you just returned the car at the end of the lease.

Either way, it doesn't impact your payment.

There is a general CX-5 discussion you can post your deal in - please redact any personal information (phone, email, etc.).

That way, other members here at Edmunds can see what is possible.

Michaell, do you have an opinion on whether it's better to get GAP insurance through the dealership or through insurance? I have Progressive if that makes a difference. I have until tomorrow to decide if I want the dealership GAP insurance but I have no clue what's better! I didn't even think about it because I've been focusing on the actual deal.

Mazda is one of the few brands that makes you buy GAP insurance separately. I'd just get it through the dealer and be done with it.
