Oil change miseries

Last mechanic to change the oil must have used an impact wrench to tighten the drain plug. Can't budge it even with a 28" break bar.
Trying to siphon the oil out with a Harbor Freight hand siphon pump, but the dipstick hose meets an obstruction about 3/4 the length of the dipstick, doesn't reach the crankcase--maybe a guide for the dipstick?
Any ideas, clues, or suggestions about how to proceed?

Which direction were you trying to turn the drain plug?

It's easy to get turned around especially if someone is lying on their back and reaching overhead to accidently go the wrong direction. A ratchet could help make sure that didn't happen but with a breaker bar.....
