Hey Everyone,

I am working with a dealership on a lease for 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL AWD. The dealership sent me a proposal and I am confused as to how they came to the RV and MV. Based on information from the Edmunds Hyundai Forum, the RV should be 58% and the MF .00064.

Now I get they may be trying to inflate the MF for additional profit, but how are they inflating the RV so much when that isn't something that can be changed typically?

Everything has been done via email so far, but I am planning to go in this weekend to discuss numbers and try to get some clarity around the above. Any help in the meantime so I can be better prepared for the in person with the dealership would be great. Thanks!

Okay.. we found a special program for the Central Region, that was hidden from us.
36/10
.00143 MF and 65% residual
$1500 lease cash

.00183 would be a result of the maximum markup by the dealer (.00040)

The money factor markup adds about $22/mo. to the payment.

The special program for the Central region, is a little better than the program we quoted before. Yes, the MF is higher, but the residual is much higher, more than offsetting the difference.

However, the dealer markup is a separate thing.
