Repair broken driver mirror if planning to trade in soon?

I bought a CRV touring 5 years ago and planning to upgrade to a bigger car in few months. The joint of the driver's mirror broke after hitting a post. Nothing affected the mirror glass, electricity or blind spot but the joint needs repair or replacement. The cheapest option at Honda dealer is $500. I can get aftermarket piece for less than $100 on ebay/amazon and still keep the same color because exterior of mirror is fine (just the black joint broken). Do you recommend repairing it before trading in or don't repair it at all?

    For $100, I'd fix it
