This is $3394 better than the best deal I could find around here! Boston, you're only 5 hrs away from "Susquehanna" (could be, but end-of-year on a brand-new model, especially something as stylistically different from other small SUVs as the Rogue is shouldn't make any difference on its price. Also, Nissan isn’t offering any incentives on this baby, save a $249/mo lease that's useless for most of us.
As for "invoice pricing": For this trim line, Consumer Report's New Car kit gives a bottom-line price of about $25446; MSRP of approx. $27400; and a note-in-general that wiggle room on most new cars is about 4 to 8% below MSRP, wiggle being entirely dependent on a model’s supply and demand. Apparently, around here, my fellow rednecks have fallen in lurv with the Rogue. We’ve kept the price at or near MSRP. Particularly on the SL AWD with premium pkg, moonroof, leather, &tc. (We're probably driving the ridiculous high price of gas, too; frickin’ ted-gallon hat wearin’ Hummer-drivers...)
I'm 23 hrs away in EATX, but I'd be on Expedia.com PDQ meself if I hadn't blinked first and paid near MSRP like a dumb kid. The Murano was totaled, and for the first time ever, I was afoot. It was nuts, so I bolted to the Nissan dealer, who gave me a very nice end-of-year package of Wal*Mart electronics and tooleries. So maybe NEPA's price is a year-end deal...)
I noticed the rather bland grill before I bought the Rogue. Wasn't too concerned. Was pretty sure aftermarket offerings would soon be available. Upon further inspection, I see that the grill is merely a molding on the front nose panel. An aftermarket offering would have to be a whole front end! Oh well, the grill looks better every time I look at it. Kinda better.
Hi All, Opinions please for a Gotham gray SL AWD prem pkg, lthr pkg, mroof total otd is 27761 (1562 tax incl). Is this reasonable ? Am not finding much inventory in CT and this car would have to be transported from NJ. Thanks.
Gold Preferred: Got 5yr/75k mi for $685. The sales schtick was “this is just a buck over my cost.” Riiight. Actually, since the Rogue comes with 3yr/36k, the price is prorated for just an extra 2 years, 39k miles (if that’s how many miles are left at year 3 to get to 75k miles ). I really need to sit down with a calculator and hash the numbers: I’ve got 30 days to decide whether to upgrade or delete. If any mavens of computation can help me figure this out (15k/yr driver), I’d be most grateful
btw, you can buy Nissan Gold Preferred from any Nissan dealer, including your Rogue dealer. Price shop: There are some really great prices offered online. Any Nissan dealer will honor any Nissan Gold warranty, even if bought from an out-of-state dealer, according to what I’ve read. Best regards.
To close the deal they also threw in dealer installed bumper guard, alum kick plates and touch up paint. When Rogue came in the sticker price was 27770. Don't know why it was higher but, it didn't affect the deal.
I got the dealer to "throw in" the gold preferred 5 yr 75K extended, which he said cost him about $700. I believed him because I had a quote from an out of state dealer for $1300 for the same warranty.
Apparently supply has caught up with demand. A Columbus, Ohio Nissan dealer has been running an ad in our major newspaper for a new Rogue loaded with sunroof and premium package. The ad reads MSRP $24,350 discount $1,809 sale price equals $22,541. Making that about $20 above invoice according to Edmunds. To beat that deal their competitors will have to go under invoice. Just think, two months ago I had to use every trick I knew along with this forum's advice to get $300 above invoice. Hope that this helps potential buyers in the Central Ohio area with their negotiating.
I was just emailed a quote from Larry Miller Nissan in Denver saying they would go 500 under invoice for the Rogue. I had inquired about the SL with leather/moonroof options.
I'm new to this forum but it's been very helpful reading the posts. I got a quote from the internet salesperson in Los Angeles area. The price they gave me for an SL 2WD with premium package was $21839, or $23915 OTD. Is this a low price or should I keep searching? :surprise:
We bought our 2008 Gotham Grey AWD SL w/ moonroof for $500 under MSRP from a dealer in Raynham Massachusetts. The process was frustrating because the car was so new they didn't really know what they were selling. That said, after we bought it, we saw the same car was available for $2,500 less through the upromise auto buying program (it was quoted for $100 under dealer invoice). If I was going to do it again, I would probably buy it through upromise and not deal with the hassle of negotiating price at the dealer...especially if it's a new model that they're not familiar with.
When we finally got our Rogue, they threw in a free car starter as an apology for the broken promises and bad buying experience...only to find out that they don't work on Rogues (when you get in, it won't allow you to turn the ignition...so you actually have to turn off the car and then start it normal). Oh well...
Aside from that, I absolutely love this car! The only complaint is the sound quality on the bluetooth for people on the other end of the line isn't very good. But given the price and the other benefits, this car is amazing.
I'm shopping for a 2008 Rogue SL AWD (with leather + premium + moon roof) in the SF Bay Area.
I've received the following quote, which feels like a really good deal, but want to be sure others think so as well:
MSRP: $27,650.00 Sale Price: $23,499.00
As I understand it, "Invoice" on this vehicle is $25,478, making this $1,979 under invoice.
I'm also curious what everyone's thoughts are on the lease terms offered: 24 months @ 12k/year (plenty for me) Money Rate: 0.00260 Residual: $19,078.50 (69%) Cap Cost: $24,094.00 ($23,499 + $595 Nissan Acquisition Fee)
Monthly Payment: $346.12
Drive-Off Amount: Doc Prep: $45.00 CA Tire Fee: $8.75 CA County Fee: $10.00 CA License Fee: $207.00 Sales Tax: $3.49 (no idea what this is on...) + First month
Total Drive Off = $620.36
(There's also a $350 security deposit which they say can be waived because of my good credit.)
Thoughts? Has anyone managed to get around Nissan's $595 acquisition fee? Seems to be there no matter where I look.
It is Peter's Nissan in New hampshire. I also got this price from Framingham Nissan, but they were trying to make money from finance. And refuse to sell me the car after I told them my own loan rate is much lower than theirs.
For this who got Rogue with premium package, how do you subscribe for the free 3 months sattlite radio. I did not find any information on the manual. Thanks
Contact your dealer who you bought it from and let them know your XM isn't working. ALso if yuo got to channel 0 there well be your radio ID write it down and contact XM directly, My Altima coupe and our Rogue was ready for us when we picked them up, I love XM, we just ran out of our 3 month free and subcribed to them, the 3 yr subscription is the best deal going.
Picked up my Iridium Grey SL AWD /premium package, splash guards and premium mats for 22641 using Nissan VPP and 500 rebate for Presidents day weekend from Busam Nissan in Springdale, OH. I would recommend them. Sales guy, Mike Sames, was nice and not pushy. They give you a 7yr/100k miles extended warranty with every new car purchase
I got the Rogue SL AWD with preimium, roof rails and cross bars, towing package, leather package, splash guards, mats, tinting, nose guard/bibb, sunroof, wheel locks, for $27, 319.81 but also got about $2,000 more for my high mileage trade so the net was probably $25,300. What do you think?
We picked up our Rogue last night. Got an Wicked Black SL AWD with moonroof, premium package and other odds and ends. MSRP was 26,080 and we got it for 23,250 plus tags, title and taxes. I feel pretty good about the deal and we really like the vehicle.
I purchased the Nissan Rogue today Silver Ice AWD SL Premium Package Moonroof Floor Mats cloth interior in southern NJ for $23,686 plus Tax and Tags Reg, Title etc. I feel I got a decent deal but in hindsite I think I could have worked it $350 cheaper. I think this site Edmunds is great but that their Invoice prices may be a little high. I think more dealers are willing to sell below invoice on this car than people think or maybe because it has been out for about 6months now?? My best advice get internet quotes and go into the dealership armed with info and numbers do NOT share where you got your information. Just keep it with you for those quiet times when you are negotiating your next counter. Also if they have the exact model you want in stock you can get it for less at that dealer.
Mike, Can you please tell me what the dealers name was and where they are located? I am looking to get the same vehicle as you but have been quoted 24990 at a central jersey dealer.
I just purchased a 2008 AWD Rogue with the premium package, towing package, sunroof and leather package. The MSRP was $28,220. I got the vehicle for $25,900 which was the invoice price. I got a whole lot more than I originally wanted but I just felt like it was a great deal. I also got a coupon book for all the maintenance through 150K miles for free or greatly discounted. They say the book is worth about $2200 and includes two free rental cars when the car needs service.
I didn't buy the extended warranty. I have owned a number of Nissan's and Infiniti's over the years. I have purchased the extended warranty and have never had to use it. I have only even had minor issues which arose well after the 100K mile mark and were, therefore, not covered.
Hi Bill - I'm looking for the same exact scenario you show here. I live in Napa - where did you get this deal??!! This is exactly the deal I'm looking for. I want the SL, leather, AWD, premium, etc. The MSRP I come up with is $27,900. Plkease hurry. I want to buy this tomorrow. =}
I am looking for a Rogue 2WD with same specs as you in LA. Can you tell me where you getting such a good quote. Also, did you buy the Rogue and how is it performing?
I just bought a new Rogue SL in Wicked Black today! This was the base package for the SL, with only add on being floor mats. My price was $19,995 plus TTL. I think it was a pretty good deal, what do you guys think? I received several online quotes, but I did not really need them. According to Edmunds, this is $365 below invoice. However, I highly doubt this is true invoice. The dealer offered this price right away, which was below any quotes I had previously received. However, I did call 2 dealers to ask if they could match this price after receiving the offer. Neither dealer could match, so I thought it must be a decent deal. Also, the dealer was Mossy Nissan in San Diego and it was a very low stress car buying experience. I highly recommend them.
Im on the Rogue and Murano list and it seems that Nissan is really agressive in selling these two products below invoice. On the Murano list people are picking up LE's fully loaded AWD under invoice, as well as Rogue SLs. I have no complaints, we have a 08 Rogue SL with Preumin package and Sunroof, it was a dealer trade, that came with LoJack (the selling dealer didn't know this was installed) and we got it out the 23K
'Grats on the new Rogue SL. And at a FANTASTIC price, no less. I thought I did some wheelin; and dealin' but now I'm not sure what kind of deal I really got. $443/mo with $680 drive off on a 24 month lease. Fully loaded - AWD Preium, Leather, Moonroof. I got Iridium with black leather. REALLY nice. Then bought the spoiler and moonroof wind blocker thingy and the chrom grille thingy's. Took it out for the first time yesterday - I love it!! I'm getting 21/25 so far, (we;re talking only about 75 miles though), the ride is much better than I thought it would be - seems to rival my Infiniti M35 I just traded in. The Bose system is also possibly the best sound system I've hear in a car, ever. And I've had 37 cars.
I also love having the hatch-back - saves on bending for groceries and I can put the back seats down and carry larger things - always comes in handy and sorely missed when you need it and don't have it.
I'm also 6'5" and I fit in it nicely. My only complaints would be I'd like to have telescoping steering wheel - but I can live without it. Not that big a deal. The tires and rims look much better than when I test drove - now that they're cleaned up. Was tempted to get chrome rims, but... these seems pretty nice as is.
Also love the AUX jack. Sorely missed in the M35. Stuck using the stupid FM transmitters for 3 years. I said I'd never buy another car that didn't have an AUX jack. Most do these days, though.
Totall happy with the Rogue and I want to thank all the people who posted here. It helped me make my decision. Especially the people who posted pics of the spoiler and all that.
Is 22k a good price for a SL Rogue Fwd with Premium package, moonroof and cloth seats? Looking to get one this weekend. Don't need AWD down south and leather gets too hot. thx
I currently have an 05 XTerra. I like the XTerra but would like better mileage. I'm interested in the Rogue, but I have a few concerns. Is there a big difference in cargo space? I need room in the back for 2 sets of golf clubs and push carts. I also want to be able to put my kayak on top and bike on back. I live in Maine so it needs to be good in the snow. I don't do much off road driving other than my dirt driveway and towing is not an issue for me. I like the looks of the Rogue and I'd love to have the sunroof and premium stereo like I had in my old Pathfinder. I'd love to hear from people who have driven both the XTerra and Rogue or have similar driving and space issues.
I have a Rogue SL and love it. I think there's plenty of room for two sets of golf clubs and carts. I know I use mine to haul around 43" wide pictures and they slide in perfectly. The back seats folding down give you a nice amount of room.
I can imagine the roof would easily hold a kayak and the back could be outfitted for a bike carrier. The AWD is sweet; stereo awesome; and fun to drive! And I'm 6'5" and fit in it no problem.
Stopped by local dealer looked at a fully loaded Rogue AWD SL Black , black leather, Bose , moonroof etc. I had my 02 Xterra for trade. They offered me $7800 on my Xterra, which I owe $7400 on, and wanted $2500 OTD 39 month lease $453 per month. I think it's high and someone posted on here in CA $650 OTD $350 a month lease for the same vehicle. Anyone???
Im on the 09 Murano board too andI'm seeing people getting thier Murano's for about $450-500 a month with $500 out of pocket. so your leae doesn't souns all that good.
Thats what I thought, maybe we can get some of you guys to post your lease deals that you received, so we know what when we are gettin good or bad deals. Anyone?
That lease is a ripoff. I pay $433/mo for a TWO YEAR lease and $680 OTD. Fully loaded SL AWD. The Napa dealer in Folsom CA offered me the same exact deal for $300 OTD, but I had already signed with my local dealer. Use this information. That's exactly what I did, using lease details posted here. That's how I got my deal - even though the one quoted here was impossible, the numbers worked and the dealer believed it - or couldn't believe it, as it were - but still gave me a great deal, I think.
I just faxed 6 dealers in the Atlanta market to purchase a new Rogue. Two have already come back with $489 doc fees. Has anyone been able to negotiate this obvious profit enhancer down or have it totally eliminated? Personally, I'm not to excited about paying someone to fill out paperwork to sell me a car. Any help will be appreciated.
When you say $680 OTD , thats it? No tax, money down, doc fees, first and last pmt, etc.etc.etc.? If so thats nice, so far I keep hearing the same BS, even on a "0" down lease, they tell ya, oh you still have tax, 1 mos. pmt. doc fees etc. Is that lease thru Nissan, or an independent lease co.?

Actually that is correct what your sales schtick told told you!

A Rogue dealer would be a Nissan Dealer just for the record.

That is correct any Nissan dealer will take a Nissan warranty.

2008 Rogue AWD SL Red, Premium, Moonroof, splashguards, mats for $23200. OTD will be in the $24944 range. Invoice is $23917 and MSRP is $25970.
What do you guys think? Good deal or do I deserve lower?
