Your best bet would be to look at the posts in this topic: Super White headlight bulbs (HID imitation) in our Aftermarket and Accessory Conference. Just click on that highlighted link to go there.

I seem to be having some seriou trouble with my
factory installed cd player. I put in a cd, and
it seems to randomly get 'stuck' inside and the
player tries (usually unsucessfully) to kick it
out...sometimes for 20 minutes at a time. Other
times it will not play at all, but start with the
'chugging' sound as soon as the cd is pushed in.

Has anyone else had this happen, and know what to
    do about it???

    Thanks in advance,

    Brent

P.S. My car is a 1995 Ford Escort GT if that
makes a difference here. I have made no
modifications to the sound system at all since I
    bougth it.

The only way I know to check it is to remove the player from the car and remove the cover off the unit.
Cd players can act funny if some dirt or hair gets in the mechanism.
Depending on the design, there may be a drive belt which may be worn and slipping.
Remove cover, visually inspect, blow the dust out, lightly lubricate any moving parts, try it out.

I worked on a friends portable cd player once and found hair got into the unit and bound up the tracking mechanism.

    good luck

    I'm considering buying a 94 Escort Sedan.
The mileage is almost 100,000. The part-time
dealer will sell me at $2,250. I'm a new
driver and doesn't know much about cars.So any
comments regarding this car will be welcome.

    Thanks a lot.

i started commuting 108 miles a day in may and drive a 95 lx, manual transmission.
its at 70,000 miles and no major problems.

i paid 3,300.00 for it in march. 63,000 miles on the car.

i would have the car professionally looked at if you are not capable of doing it yourself to see what you are in for.

    are the maintenance records available?

i have read good posts and bad ones about these cars.

timing belt should be inspected, and if it hasn't had the water pump replaced yet i would consider doing both.

if its an automatic make sure the fluid is perfectly clean, and the car shifts perfectly.

if the engine is in good shape, it can regularly get 40+ miles per gallon on the highway, with the manual transmission.

    see ya,
