The bottom was always cloth and when you fold it into the floor that is all that you see, so that is fine with me. I am guessing that you mean when you just have the seatback folded and you put things on top of it? I have to admit that I forgot that people use these cars for hauling kids and cargo. I hardly ever have mine loaded with anything so I was not thinking about any practical advantages that a cloth seat back could have. I look at the car as a luxury vehicle that happens to be in the form of a minivan so my judgement was based purely on looks. The car has 35000 miles on it and I have been the only one in it for about 30000+ of them so there really is no wear and tear on the interior.

Thanks everyone who replied to my post. These forums are great.

I know a lot of Odyssey buyers are very satisfied. My best friend has a '08 Touring since January and is happy with it. I have actually decided to go with the Sienna XLE. I just didn't like what I was reading -- more negative posts here about significant problems on the Odyssey than the Sienna, the apparent consensus that the Odyssey is much louder in the back (I hate that about my current minivan), the fact that Honda has settled some class-action lawsuits regarding the Odyssey, etc.

The Sienna ends up being a bit more expensive for what you get, but that's fine for a little more piece of mind IMO. Best wishes to everyone on your minivans -- Odyssey or Sienna or other. :)

Mine is a '06 and it's been like that from day one and the new ones at the dealer were all the same. Seen the complaint in another forum also. If you mean the little wave on the left side of the air bag cover where it lines up with the dash. Also, if you look at the top glove box, if it's like mine, you can see inside the glovebox on the edge where it latches.

I own a 2006 odyssey with about 50,000 miles on it, so far no problems with tranny, how ever, i keep reading about all the problems other people are having, what is happening, a slipping , or jerking, or does it just just fail, I'm concerned when somebody said to have it repaired was 4500.dollars. Thats major money, just looking for information now, so far I am very well pleased with this van, I am planning to keep it for many years as long as I feel comfortable with the maintance cost, mooger

You should consider the Honda Care extended warranty for big ticket repairs. But huury as Honda is going to curb online selling of this. Online is hundreds cheaper than at dealer as they are same product.

Hi, I am glad that you have had no problems. I have taken my 07 Odyssey Ex-L 3 times for the pulling to the left. They aligned my van 3 times in 2 different dealerships. Now my 2 front tires are worn on the outside because of bad alignment. In any of the cases they did not fix the pull. n top of things the district manager for service also took a look at my van. Now because of their bad alignment, I have 2 michelin front tires that need replacing...I guess that I am also ignorant and all of this is a figment of my imagination. By the way bobber1, would you like to pay the $350 bill for my 2 front tires?
