I thought 28,258 is the invoice price - not correct?
I am sure if i should post this here.
If it sells for less than the loan payoff, then you'll have to make up the difference..
You can't "turn it back".

06 Touring with Res and Nav
slate green/olive
invoice $35,447 + $300 = $35747
So far I'm loving the van and very happy I chose it over the Sienna. Very nice rig.
I very well understand the upfront expense of extended warranties and have not (yet) bought one for my '05 Touring R&N. In the event that I decide to keep it for an extended period (unlikely given my past history), I will buy Honda's.
Previously had a '99 Odyssey for 70,000 miles. The only untold repair it needed after the factory warranty expired was the transmission which Honda replaced - for free - twice. If I had purchased ANY extended warranty for that vehicle I'd have wasted my money.
I am in central NJ and in the market for an Odyssey. Could you tell me the names of the dealers that offered you the best prices so far? Have you been able to get prices that include everything except TT&L? Also, did you get the best prices after your initial contact with them or did you go back and forth before getting better quotes. I requested a few quotes yesterday and the Open Road quote came back almost instantaneously. Do you think they will improve on that quote?
Thanks in advance--Gregg
I have a very good credit history around 700 pts. I was wondering what is the best place to get the loan and around what rate would be a good deal?
I live in California.
Any ideas?
:confuse:
It seems like AL dealers do not want to make a deal as good as the deals are going in NC or other states, as posted on this site. It seems weird that we are only 50 miles from the factory in Lincoln, AL, where the ODY is assembled.
:confuse:
Their price has bounced around the past week: up $300, then back down a bit. I haven't set foot in the dealership yet, so I don't know what the OTD price would be, or what sort of tricks they might pull once they get us in the door. If nothing else, their instant quotes are a good hammer to use in negotiations with other dealers.
$25,500 (including destination) + free splashguard
+ $100 Doc fees
+ $20.5 Title fees etc
+ tax
It is $600 below invoice with free splashguard. I took the deal and got the car yesterday.

I ended up paying invoice plus $800 for the EXL....but they gave me about much more for the TL trade-in. So I ended up buying at a more expensive dealer , in order to get a better deal....ironic but true....
It pays to look at the big picture. :-)
It may help that the auto show is in town and the end of the month is coming up.
I am shopping for extended warranty for 2006 Honda Odyssey EX-L and i live in California.
Is it okay for me to take the extended warranty from any dealer in US (like Mike Pruitt in Ohio) ? Have any of faced any issues by buying warranty from a place where you dont belong.
Thanks for your inputs.
Vasu
I suggeest you call the Honda USA information line, and they will let you know if it is OK to buy the extended warranty from other dealers. Buying the warranty means the dealer has to submit all your vehicle info to Honda USA...but that is not hard to do....
The price at Mike Pruitt Honda is $1230. Great to work with. Ask for Finance Manager. He is in charge of Extended Warranty sales.
Last time I talked to him, he was willing to give that price to anyone, as long as you have proof that you have a lower quote. Also, tell them you are a member of this board. I did.
Hope this helps.

Seems like most of members are talking about EX-L.
I am under tight budget so, LX will be good enough for me...........

Not sure where you are, but if you are willing to drive the hour and half across the state, I'm sure you can get the same type of deal I got in Michigan City, IN.....Team Honda. $325 over invoice (which would put it somehwere around $23,600). PM me and I'll give you the guys email address I was working with....I did everything over the internet and had a price negotiated before I ever walked in (I'm 50 miles east of Michigan City in Elkhart).
That seemed pretty fair to me, I'm picking it up tomorrow unless someone thinks that I could do better.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

Actually a Touring with Every Option (Touring R&N) MSRPs around $40K ($39,345) with an Invoice of $35,448. So if you were quoted $32K, you are looking at $3500 below invoice, which would be a phenominal deal.
If it were me, I would double check just to make sure I was getting a Touring with every option. Sounds more like a EX-L R&N (which is what I just purchased).
www.carsdirect.com shows that 58% buyer chose EX-L, but only 18% chose LX, 14% chose EX. Why EX-L is so popular than LX/EX?
Thanks a lot!
Also,,,,to many of my friends, the fact that Ex and EXL can seat 8 people , is a big plus. The models at either end, the LX and Touring, can only seat 7.
EXL is really not expensive in this day and age...so maybe a greater proportion of people are opting for it.
consider this...in 1994, I bought a previa minivan, back then the hottest minivan around, with cloth seats, only 160 hp, no power sliding doors, for the then good price of $29,000 !!!! THE Odyssey is light years better ...and costs about the same.... Now if you factor in inflation, and amount of amenities in Ody , then the Ody is down right a bargain at even MSRP !!!
Memory seats are good if more than 1 person regularly uses the van, and each frequently have their hands full, and both are very different in stature. If none of the above is true..then you really do not need the Touring.
Of course, the power rear hatch is also good for people with their hands full most of time....
Various posters here have bought Odysseys at or very near (or even below) invoice but, no, they do not typically sell for less than invoice.
other that crystal lake these are in the detroit area, and
northern ohio
26,430.00 troy, does not even include title, lic
26,418.00 fischer
26,081.50 jim white
26,027.50 brown
25,875.50 park
25,632.86 lafontaine
25,450.33 crystal lake, base price 25,250, say they're "on sale"
looks like some of the lowest prices lately, wonder if the end of the month AND the end of 1st quarter has anything to do with it?
I can not get a response from Mike Pruitt, anybody else have the same problem?
that was only round one. Round two will be playing off the lowest against they rest to see how how they respond. Round three will be the lowest price plus extras like cross rails and fog lamps. I hope my plan goes through. it's fun playing the game, but the wife just wants the van now like a kid before Christmas.
this forum has been great hope this info helps others.
Anyway, I just purchased a Silver Pearl Metallic EX-L with RES at Honda Mall of Georgia in the Atlanta area for $28,750 plus $499 doc fee. Even if you include the doc fee, it was still about $600 under invoice. I live in the Atlanta area, so it was great to find a deal like that so close to home. Best of luck to everyone else still looking.
I was quoted $25650 for 2006 EX and was wondering if dealer could add a DVD to it? thanks
$27334.58 seems like a good price for an EX-L, especially with destination included. Just got back from Castruccis Friday, they quoted $28145, with an out-the-door of $30,250. White Allen offered $28150, but with lower title, etc for an out the door of $30,000.
Depending on other responses, a run to Pruitt in Akron ($75 in gas) may be in my future.

Why not just add an Aftermarke DVD Player. It ends up being much cheaper and you can get a larger/removeable DVD player. I have some friends who did this in their '05 Ody and an love it. They still control it from the front with the remote, and the player is unobtrusive and doesn't interfere with the mirror (I think the went with a 10.2" model, still over 10% larger than the factory). Anyway, aftermarket is one option and probably the least expensive option.
