Hi, I just found this forum. I have a quote from a local dealer for a EX-L with RES for 29,000 even. Does anyone think I can get any lower? Also, I have great credit and was looking to finance around half of cost for 60 months. They are offering me a finance rate of 4.9 %. They have not pulled my credit yet.

None of the dealers mentioned they had the 3.9 % financing available that someone mentioned in a post above. Is this rate still going on? Maybe it is not offered in my area. I know that they are offering that rate right now for certified used cars, does this mean they shoudl be able to offer that rate for new also?

Thanks for the clarification on the $2000 marketing support for leases if you don't go for the .00095 money factor. I believe that's new--back when I was shopping, the marketing support (I think it was $1000 back then?) was only for purchases, as far as I know. The sales tax support is new news, also. Good info for current buyers. Thanks.

Can you please break down the price ?

Just bought our EXL with RES/NAV from Valley Honda in Aurora/Naperville.
    Price was $30,385 + 6.5% tax + 150 doc fee + 143 for new license plates.
They also gave us the 8 yr/120K warranty at cost ($1195) when I showed them the web prices.
Very pleasant experience, no pressure, very quick responses from our salesperson and no hassling about upgrades, etc.
    Highly recommend them.
Our sales person was super helpful - email me (devaneymark AT gmail.com) if you'd like her name.

    $418.25 per month 36 months
    15,000 miles per year
$1906 out of pocket at time of lease (includes 1st month and fees)
baltic blue with grey leather interior.

was trying to do better but the dealer i was waiting on was driving me crazy so i went elsewhere.
was hoping to keep it under $400 but i was told that would be impossible with only $1906 out of pocket.....thoughts?

Thanks to everyone who provided information on this board. I finally bought an EX-L last Monday in MD with an OTD price of 28, 706.

    Vehicle Price: 26, 087.98
    Destination: 635.00
    Dealer Proc: 100.00
    MD Tax (6%): 1,609.38
    Tags & Title: 274.00

The original offer from the dealer for the Vehicle price was $26,000 + Dealer installed options. In my case there were Wheel Locks ($101) and Color Matched Side Protective Trim ($399). I asked the dealer to remove the options since I was not interested to which they offered both of them offered for $88. I did not bargain too hard and went with it. This deal is better than the lowest I could find in the DC area by about $20.

No 2.9% financing. The dealer swore that the deal from Honda was not for the Odyssey anymore, it was for Honda Element for this month. I took the lowest they offered 4.89% since my credit union rate is 4.99%.

    I just leased a 2008 EXL (no res) for $299 a month.

    36 month
    12,000 miles a yr
    $2500 total down
    $299/mo including taxes

The dealer was really willing to deal, what was your purchase price on the lease. I got the purchase price to well below invoice and the special money factor.

The difference between the OTD of $34995 and $33520 is $1475. What things are in that $1475? Destination charge? Extended Warranty? Does the $33520 include destination?
  • saabcadhondasaabcadhonda Member Posts: 4
Does the $34,298 include destination charge?
  • saabcadhondasaabcadhonda Member Posts: 4
Just to clarify, should I be able to get a Touring without PAX for $34000 with Destination Charge or without Destination Charge?
  • cccompsoncccompson Member Posts: 2,382
If it's a nice vehicle, it's a good buy if for no other reason than the fact that low mileage Hondas are just about impossible to find.
  • mobileappmobileapp Member Posts: 13
Great .. lowest price I have seen for the Touring (No PAX) :)

Did the price include any installed options like Mud Gaurds / Wheel Locks?
  • cambreacambrea Member Posts: 26
I haven't purchased yet. I'll start and finalize deal in the next 2-3 weeks.
  • limeslimes Member Posts: 1
Using the donkeypunch method I got the following:

    $28,896 (includes $635 destination)
+~$650 for window tint, mud flaps, cargo bin, pinstriping (prob. got ripped off but I didn't want to fight further)
    + taxes 6.25%
    + TTL

    I also got 2.9% for 36 months.

Overall, happy with the deal, but the process was somewhat painful, spending 3-4 hours at the dealership.

    Good luck with your purchases!

Ody Touring w/o PAX was $34,298 including destination. I did have a $200 Luther coupon which brought it down from 34,498. They were the lowest on initial round of internet prices and had my Baltic Blue color so I did not haggle lower. Not too many Tourings on the Mpls/St Paul area websites. There are at least 4 black tourings which is surprising.

Sounds great! I'm in the market for a LX as well in the Bolingbrook area. Did they have the LX in stock or did you have to order it?

I got the quote for 2008 Odyssey EXL with fog lights and splash guard $29771.95 out the door. Is it a good price or I can do better????
    Thank you,

Has anyone made a Touring purchase in Northern California (Bay Area)? Our tax rate is 8.25% but the dealers invoice is ~35k. Are they just BS'ing and not starting off low(no big surprise there)? The quotes I'm getting for OTD is 37k-38k.

    thanks

Looking to purchase a 2008 EX-L with Nav and Res in DC/MD area. Here is what I have been quoted:

    36 month lease 15K/Year $2500 total down 465/month

Buy 30,400 +635 (dest) and then I would finance for 60/months at 4.89%.

Good deal or bad deal. I was told the lease money factor is way less than 1% (like 1/5th of one percent) so the lease deal was better but I could not use the 2K incentive so the purchase price was 2K higher or 32,400. Thouhgts on some debating these options.

Could anyone tell whats the best price for EX-L in Houston area ?
  • eljenrieljenri Member Posts: 1
Just paid $31,200 for an EX-L with NAV and RES in Plano, Texas. I was pretty frustrated with my "Internet" experience. I was quoted one price over e-mail but there are really no vehicles in the lot for that price. All dealerships I went to add between 1 and 2K worth of extras and this jacks up the price accordingly. One dealership agreed to get me one without the extras if I was willing to leave a $500 deposit and wait a few days.
Still, I feel I got a good deal and the wife's happy.

  • kennynmdkennynmd Member Posts: 424
Just read through emails an Ourisman Honda in Laurel came in the lowest for an EX-L...no Nav or Res. Price I got over the net was $26,780..this does not include tax/tags/title fees. He had an out the door price of 28,700. Is this a good deal or should I wait longer as I'm in no rush to buy. Also, does anyone know when the Ody is due for a makeover? How long has this style been out? I don't want to buy an 08 iff the 09's are going to be restyled.
  • seattleloverseattlelover Member Posts: 1
I bought Honda Odyssey EX model today for 24,450/- + TTL. Seattle has tax at 9.2%. My final price was around 27K OTD. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you more information.

Any one have a price on a Touring NON pax in the Seattle area? Trying to get a good price. Also, what is the current rebate on the Tourings... is it $2000 or $2300? Also, when does it end?

    $30,278 + tax & lic. $55 doc fee
  • fiufiu Member Posts: 25
That's a very good deal since you get $2400 lower than invoice, Seattle is very hard place to get into dealer's holdback, I am also in this area, can you pass dealer's infomation to xd_ni(at)ahoo.com, thanks
  • odybuyer3odybuyer3 Member Posts: 9
I just picked up our 2008 Odyssey EXL-RES

    The deal:

Sales Price: $ 28,670.00 (includes destination)
    Doc Fee: $ 250.00
    Sub-Total: $ 28,920.00
    Trade-in: $ 15,500.00 (2007 Civic EX with 19,000 miles)
    Sub-Total: $ 13,420.00
    Tax: $ 838.75
    Title/Tags: $ 19.50
    Total OTD: $ 14,278.75

I purchased from Park Honda as they were willing Price-Match my best quote and locate the car if they did not have the color we wanted.

I got 3-4 dealers willing to price match so they are hungry for a sale. Probably could have done a little better on price but the trade-in value was fair.

I can't speak about the Seatle area, but in Ann Arbor, MI, my best quote for the 2008 Odyssey w/o Pax is $34,475. I think the current manufacturer to dealer incentive is $2000, and it ends 4/30/08. Hope this helps. Dawn

Looking to purchase a 2008 EX-L Honda Odyssey.

It would be great, if anyone email me(fun2glow@yahoo.com) the OTD price invoice quote of $28,700 from Ourisman Honda in Laurel. :P

    Thx
  • monkymonky Member Posts: 16
I believe your price is invoice less the $2000 rebate. I will use this as a target price.

    Thanks

    Hey DM

In Detroit burbs and looking for Touring w/o PAX - that is a better price than the opening salvo for the local guys so if I could get a dealer on that it would be great. If I have to I will drive to AA.

    thanks

    Hi gfagori,

I am also in the market for an EX-L. The price you got is still considered the best. Fortunately Honda extended the Spring Countdown $2000 factory to dealer incentive 'til 4/30/08. My local dealer quoted $26500 so far, I think they can knock off a couple hundred bucks but I didn't have enough time to haggle. I would greatly appreciate if you can also send me a copy of your purchase agreement. Email to actionjh@hotmail.com. Thanks a million!
  • ezrizerezrizer Member Posts: 1
1st, thanks to everyone who has posted, without you I would have paid more. I negotiated with the mgr. at Holmes Honda in Shreveport and he agreed to deliver a black touring w/o pax to New Orleans (5hr drive) for $34,600. Deal was as follows:
    34600 Van
623 Cargo mat and wood grain installed
    3082 Tax
    100 Doc fee
    160 Title transfer, plate, etc.
    38,565 OTD

I probably won't be checking this site again anytime soon so if anyone has any questions please feel free to e-mail: jason@ez-rizer.com

Thanks again to everyone for their input, I hope my story will be of help
  • rapidfirerapidfire Member Posts: 4
